Koalas ( 0-1 yrs )

The Koala room caters for a maximum of five children each day with 2 educators.

Our day is spent enabling as many opportunities as possible for the babies to explore the world with all of their senses.  Babies have an innate drive to explore, learn and practice new skills and like to move around and try things for themselves.  We stay close by their sides to keep them safe and provide encouragement.

Building routines into our daily program to create a more comfortable emotional environment helps the babies make secure attachments, however, each child has a unique body clock so much of the day is directed by them as they give cues and signals to let us know their needs and wants.

We work with parents and extended family to learn about the children and provide appropriate care and education with respect and affection.
